Spring Has Sprung!

The past few weeks have seen an explosion of life in the Bamboo Forest!!  I’ve spent a lot of time wandering around with my camera, enjoying all the wonders of Spring.

I’ve also noticed that along with flowers and bugs, music has returned to the Bamboo Forest.  There are speakers through the park but during the winter, music was sporadic.  In the past few weeks, it has returned.

The Bamboo Forest DJs have eclectic taste in music.  On their playlist is a lot of KPop and traditional Korean music (the vast majority of which sounds, to my untrained ear, like someone skinning a cat.)  There is also a bit of Western classical music, some pop and a little rock.  And strangely, there is a LOT of Britney Spears.

Many of the following pictures were taken while listening to ‘Hit me Baby one more time’ and ‘Oops, I did it again.’

Cherry blossoms on the mountain.

Tulips in the bamboo.

I don’t know what these are but they sure are pretty.

Flowers and trees makes it look a lot warmer there……..at least a lot warmer than the last time we were at that park.
