How… kind?

A few days ago, someone brought a large tub of mixed nuts and dried fruit into the staffroom.  Teachers were putting them in paper cups and taking them back to their desks to eat.

I was about to take some when one of my co-Ts came running up.

“Carrie-teacher!” she said smiling, and taking the jug o’nuts from me.  “I made this for you.”

As she poured nuts into the “cute” paper cup, she explained that not only did it look like a flower, it was useful too.

“Your hands are very big,” she told me with genuine concern. “Maybe you have trouble getting the nuts out of the cup.”

“Um… thanks?”
